After going through the struggles of cancer, Ana and Ingrid decided to focus their passion, expertise and knowledge of jewellery design and gems on a business whose profits would go towards helping others going through similar struggles. While it was their belief that everyone battling with cancer has their own challenges, children suffer without the understanding of what is happening and why it is happening to them, therefore requiring extra support.
Consequently, 40% of profits will go to specific initiatives at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, Reg no 1049274 with the first project being the iMRI Scanner Appeal. In addition, the business will aim to make further donations to specific cases of children suffering with serious illness, details of which will be posted regularly on the website.
Coming from a distinguished Belgian family of jewelers and goldsmiths, sisters Ana and Ingrid Van Gansen have both been in the jewellery business for 30 years. Ana obtained her degree in gemology at the institute of Diamantgutachten in Germany, while Ingrid graduated in jewelry design, manufacture and gemology from the Gemological Institute of America in California.
Today, both sisters are united in creating new designs in an affordable range that appeals to fashionable women of all ages and wardrobe styles, who appreciate imaginatively designed jewellery of the highest quality, using ethically sourced materials, hand finished in the UK.
The Ingrid Rossi Collection is characterized by sterling silver designs with a blend of freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones and cubic zirconia which also includes pieces from other designers.
